• Process type: ASTM A249 standard covers seamless steel tubes and welded steel tubes. • Heat treatment: All ASTM A249 TP316L tubes must undergo solution heat treatment to completely dissolve carbides into the austenitic matrix and allow the material to recrystallize and soften, achieving optimal corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. The main method is to first heat to a high temperature of about 1040-1150 ° C (1900-2100 ° F), and then rapidly cool (quench), usually by water quenching or spray cooling.
